The second major character in Mortal Coil, Death herself. She ferries the departed back to the Astral Realm and new life to the mortal realm.

Kamiko loves her some cake and is displeased by the latest cake malfunction she's suffered.

I did this for our Drawing Meats ashcan back in October of 2010 for the Alternate Press Expo. One of my first attempts with doing a drawing in high-contrast.

Kamiko relaxing. A lot of my work is digital but this one is done traditionally on comic board with pencil and then inked in a high contrast style.

Merry Christmas. I did this series of paintings back in December 2011. I wanted a new outfit for Kamiko, especially for Christmas and came up with this. Sexy, eh? This is the red version of her gown.

I couldn't decide which color suited her best. Red was too red, the blue here breaks it up and makes her more wintry.

The first version of my Snowflake Lolita series done in high contrast.

A high contrast piece I did over the summer using vectors instead. This was a test using Inkscape .43 and took about a week, maybe two weeks. Inkscape's a bit slow but it gets the job done. I think the lesson learned there was that it's still faster rasterizing than vectoring, especially with all the little details.

A piece I did for Drawing Meats for our first Original Character project which was my character, Kamiko. I wanted to do an image that told a story, and one day I will tell the rest of this story.
