A note about Notes
Just a quick note about Notes on the iPhone that I learned today. I’ve been experiencing issues where I would type new notes into the phone and then they would, in the blink of an eye, disappear. This gets extremely frustrating since I’d like to use my phone for writing notes and eventually stories but I can’t trust it if the phone just up and deletes my work.
This is what I think happens. If you go to your Settings and to the “Mail, Contacts, and Calendar” section take a look under your primary email account. For me this is gmail. You’ll see an icon for Notes there. I think the phone tries to sync your local notes with Gmail if that option is turned on. If that sync fails…poof there goes all of your notes.
So I have it turned off now and we’ll see how well this phone behaves now that it isn’t connected to the cloud anymore.
